Azerbaijan's GDP increased by 0.8 percent from January through May 2021 compared to the same month of 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
Reportedly, over the specifying period, the country's GDP reached 31.5 billion manat ($18.5 billion).
“At the same time, value-added in the oil and gas sector decreased by 6.7 percent, while in the non-oil sector - increased by 4.5 percent,” the committee said.
In the first 5 months of 2021, GDP per capita in Azerbaijan reached 3,150.6 manat ($1,853), showing annual growth of 14.2 percent.
The Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan predicts the growth of the country's GDP in 2021 at 3.4 percent.
