Azerbaijan sees decline in population's nominal income

The nominal incomes of the Azerbaijani population in the first 5 months of 2021 decreased by 0.8 percent compared to the same period of 2020, totaling over 22 billion manat ($12.9 billion), Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee’s report.

The nominal income per capita in the reporting period fell by 1.3 percent over the year to 2,207 manat ($1,298).

From January through May 2021, Azerbaijan's nominal GDP made up 31.5 billion manat ($18.5 billion), which is 0.8 percent more compared to the same period of 2020.

Meanwhile, the country’s GDP in the non-oil sector reached 19.9 billion manat ($11.7 billion), increasing by 4.5 percent over the year.

Azerbaijan’s GDP per capita amounted to 3,150.6 manat ($1,853), increasing by 0.3 percent on annual basis.

The incomes of the population after payment of all compulsory and voluntary fees amounted to 19.8 billion manat ($11.6 billion), a decrease of 1.6 percent year on year.
