Liabilities of Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank increases over 2Q2021

The total liabilities of Azerbaijan's Kapital Bank as of the second quarter of 2021 increased by 18.1 percent compared to the second quarter of 2020, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

In accordance with the report, the total liabilities of the bank reached 5.15 billion manat ($3.03 billion).

A big share (85.6 percent) in the structure of liabilities accounted for deposits, which increased by 21.6 percent and amounted to 4.41 billion manat ($2.4 billion).

At the same time, 72 percent accounted for the deposits of legal entities in the amount of 3.18 billion manat ($1.87 billion).

The deposits of individuals accounted for 28 percent - 1.23 billion manat ($723.5 million).

The liabilities to the credit organizations and other financial institutions decreased by 11.4 percent for the year and reached 376 million manat ($221.1 million).

The liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan amounted to 2.16 million manat ($1.3 million), remaining unchanged on annual basis, other liabilities – 276.2 million manat or $162.4 million (an increase of 8.7 percent).

In accordance with the report, the bank's share capital increased by 8.9 percent on annual basis, amounting to 245.8 million manat ($144.5 million).

In the reporting period, retained earnings made up 282.8 million manat ($166.3 million), which is 13.7 percent more than in the second quarter of 2020. Capital reserves increased to 33.8 million manat or $19.8 million (an increase of 2.4 percent).

The bank's total capital amounted to 563.3 million manat ($331.3 million), an increase of 10.8 percent on annual basis.
