A surplus has been recorded in the Azerbaijani state budget from January to July 2021, Trend reports on Aug.17 referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, in the reporting period, the budget revenues amounted to slightly over 14 billion manat ($8.2 billion), which is 0.6 percent more than in the same period of last year.
Meanwhile, the expenditures of the state budget made up over 13.6 billion manat ($8 billion), down 3.3 percent on annual basis.
As a result, a surplus worth 367.7 million manat ($216.3 million) was formed in the budget.
The nominal volume of Azerbaijan's GDP in the first seven months of 2021 reached 47.2 billion manat ($27.7 billion). Thus, the state budget surplus equaled 0.8 percent of the GDP.
The revenues of the Azerbaijani state budget reached more than 24.7 billion manat ($14.5 billion), and expenses - 26.4 billion manat ($15.5 billion) as of 2020.
As a result, a deficit worth 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) or 2.4 percent of Azerbaijan's GDP was formed in the budget as of 2020.
