Notes of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) worth 3.47 billion manat ($2.04 billion) were registered in the first half of 2021, which is 18 percent more compared to the first half of 2020, Trend reports citing a report from the State Statistics Committee.
As reported, corporate bonds worth 145.6 million manat ($85.6 million) and shares worth 541.4 million manat ($318.4 million) were registered during this period.
According to the ministry, in the first half of the year, CBA notes for nearly 3.4 billion manat, government bonds for 100 million manat ($58.8 million), corporate bonds for 128 million manat ($75.3 million), and shares for 184.6 million manat ($108.5 million) were placed at the Baku Stock Exchange (BSE) auctions.
As of July 1, there were corporate bonds in circulation in Azerbaijan for 92.3 million manat ($54.3 million), notes of the Central Bank for 137.9 million manat ($81.1 million), government bonds for 529.8 million manat ($311.6 million) and shares for 16.3 million manat ($9.58 million).
The total volume of securities transactions at the Baku Stock Exchange in the first half of the year exceeded 8.3 billion manat ($4.88 billion).
