Uzbek Stock Exchange reports increase in transactions with securities

The amount of transactions with securities carried out at Uzbekistan's Republican Stock Exchange (RSE) "Toshkent" from September 6 through September 10 increased by 77 percent compared to the the last short trading week and amounted to 966 transactions, Trend reports citing RSE.

Securities of Almalyk MMC for the week rose to $1.2 per share (+ 7.4 percent). The price of Uzvtortsvetmet stopped at $1.59 per share (+ 6.25 percent).

Moreover, securities of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UzEX) grew up to $1.6 (+ 0.89 percent).

On the other hand, quotations of a number of shares fell during this period. Sredazenergosetproekt's decline was 8.19 percent ($1.36). Uzmetkombinat fell to $7.5 per share (-8.04 percent). The securities of Kizilkumcement dropped to $0.58 (-5.88 percent). Quartz showed a decrease to $0.4 (-5.41percent). The price of Kuvasaycement reached $64.7 per share (-3.5 percent).

Trading volume at the RSE from September 6 to 10 amounted to $281,257. The first place in terms of the amount of transactions belongs to the preferred shares of Kapitalbank ($168,754). The second place belongs to the securities of Uzmetkombinat ($18,884), and the third position belongs to UzEX ($15,778).
