Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan increases investments in fixed assets

Over 664.1 million manat ($390.6 million) was allocated to fixed assets from all financial sources for the development of the socio-economic sphere of the Azerbaijani Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from January through August 2021, which is 0.4 percent more compared to the same period of 2020 (661.3 million manat), Trend reports with reference to the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistics Committee.

According to the Committee, 96.1 percent of investments (638.1 million manat or $389 million) in fixed assets were directed to housing construction.

Nakhchivan’s GDP increased by 0.7 percent over the year - from 1.86 billion to 1.87 billion manat ($1.09 billion - $1.1 billion).

Around 8.26 billion manat ($4.85 billion) was directed to the development of the socio-economic sphere of Azerbaijan from January through August 2021 from all financial sources, which is 423 million manat ($248.8 million), or 10 percent less compared to the same period of 2020.
