Foreign citizens spent 104.2 million manat ($61.3 million) in Azerbaijan through bank cards in August 2021, which rose by over 4 times compared to August 2020 ($25.6 million manat or $15 million), Trend reports citing the ‘Export Review’ of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications of Azerbaijan.
According to the report, in the first 8 months of this year, foreigners spent in Azerbaijan 712.3 million manat ($419 million) using bank cards, which is 2.2 times more compared to the same period of 2021.
In 2020, foreign citizens spent in Azerbaijan 430.2 million manat ($253 million) through bank cards, which is 65.7 percent less compared to 2019.
