The prices of food items increased in Kazakhstan by 0.1 percent in September compared to August 2021 and by 11.5 percent compared to September 2020, Trend reports citing the Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
The prices of non-food items grew by 0.6 percent month-on-month, and paid services prices increased by 0.7 percent.
An increase in prices was noted for poultry meat by 2.3 percent, buckwheat groats - by 1.7 percent, beef - by 1.6 percent, horse meat - by 1.4 percent, sour cream - by 1.2 percent, pasteurized milk, cottage cheese, granulated sugar - 1.1 percent each, pasta - 1 percent, butter, bread - 0.9 percent each, flour - 0.8 percent, confectionery - 0.7 percent, sunflower oil, cheese, pork - 0.6 percent each.
Prices for tobacco products increased by 0.5 percent. A decrease in prices was recorded for potatoes by 9.5 percent, fresh vegetables - by 8.7 percent, fresh fruits - by 2.4 percent.
