A total of 1.87 million tons of goods worth more than 127 trillion rials (about $3.04 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 6 through November 11, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is a decrease of 30.8 percent in terms of value and 16.5 percent in terms of volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (October 30 through November 4, 2021).
So, 2.24 million tons of goods worth more than 183 trillion rials (about $4.36 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.74 million tons of goods worth about 67.1 trillion rials (about $1.6 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
"About 1 million tons of cement, 270,000 tons of steel, 100,000 tons of iron ore, 20,800 tons of zinc, 15,500 tons of sponge iron, 6,520 tons of copper, 3,580 tons of aluminum, 18 tons of precious metal concentrate, 24 kg gold bars were sold in this section," the report said.
In addition, more than 387,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 57.9 trillion rials (about $1.38 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
According to the report, 183,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 81,000 tons of polymeric substances, 68,800 tons of bitumen, 33,900 tons of chemicals, 16,000 tons of lube cut, 2,810 tons of base oil, 990 tons of sulfur and, 230 tons of facades were sold in this section.
Furthermore, 10,000 tons of various products worth 1.66 trillion rials (about $39.5 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
