Iran is increasing production of copper cathodes with its large factories producing 167,789 tons during the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), Trend reports citing IRNA.
The production of copper cathodes had a 3 percent growth compared to the same period in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020).
Statistics show production of copper anodes during the first seven months of the current Iranian year had a 2 percent rise reaching 208,509 tons.
The copper concentrates production in this period was 712,685 tons with one percent growth compared to last year.
The Managing Director of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company previously announced a $4 billion investment in the country's copper industries to develop production.
