A total of 5.2 million transfers worth 77.9 trillion tenge ($180.7 billion) were made via services of Kazakhstan National Bank's payment systems in November 2021, Trend reports with reference to the data of the bank.
This is 5.6 percent more in volume and 26 percent more in value compared to October 2021. On average, 237,800 transactions worth 3.5 trillion tenge ($8.1 billion) were carried out daily.
The volume of plastic cards issued in Kazakhstan amounted to 58.6 million cards as of December 1, 2021, and 50.9 percent of them were used in November 2021.
The volume of transactions via plastic cards of Kazakh issuers amounted to 632.1 million transactions worth 9.2 trillion tenge ($21.3 billion) in November 2021, which means a decrease of 3 percent in volume and by 0.8 percent in value, compared to October 2021.
Furthermore, the total volume of funds sent via international systems of money transfers amounted to 0.3 million transfers worth 94.7 billion ($219.7 million) in November 2021, which is 0.05 percent less in value compared to October 2021.
Out of the total volume of transfers, 76.7 percent of total volume or 91.9 percent of total value (87 billion tenge or $201.8 million) accounted for transfers from Kazakhstan to other countries.
Some 23.3 percent of total volume (0.1 million) and 8.1 percent of total value (7.7 billion tenge or $17.8 million) accounted for transfers in Kazakhstan.
The remaining 0.1 million transfers worth 22.9 billion tenge ($53.1 million) accounted for transfers from other countries to Kazakhstan.
