BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 13. The inflation rate in Iran increased by 40.2 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding the Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports referring to the Statistical Center of Iran.

The statistics show that families spent an average of 40.2 percent more on some products and services last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year.

The inflation on food, soft drinks, and tobacco products in Iran was 51.5 percent in the last Iranian year, while in the non-food and services sector was 34.6 percent, according to the statistics.
