Aggregate assets of Azerbaijan’s Unibank grow over year

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 26. Total assets of Azerbaijan’s Unibank increased by 28.07 percent in 1Q2022 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports citing Unibank’s balance sheet.

According to bank, the total assets of Unibank increased by 235.5 million manat ($138.5 million) over the year - up to 1.07 billion manat ($629.4 million).

The largest share (73.01 percent) in their structure was loan portfolio, which grew by 28.04 percent over the year to 784.6 million manat ($461.5 million). Deduction of targeted reserves from the bank's portfolio to ensure possible losses amounted to 89.1 million manat ($52.4 million).

According to the results of 1Q2022, about 11.3 percent were cash and cash equivalents, which increased by 11.9 percent over the year to 121.6 million manat ($71.5 million).

Another 5.7 percent of bank's assets were investments in securities - 61.6 million manat ($36.2 million, an increase of 41.05 percent over the year).

Unused real estate in the structure of Unibank’s long-term assets amounted to 81.7 million manat ($48 million), having increased by 15.9 percent over the year.

Intangible assets increased over the year by 6.02 percent, amounting to 15.7 million manat ($9.2 million).

Other assets of Unibank in 1Q2022 amounted to 56.7 million manat ($33.3 million, increase of 33.8 percent over the year).
