Iran’s CBI sees high growth in liquidity

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 4. The liquidity in Iran increased by 39 percent at end of the 12th month of the last Iranian year (March 20, 2022), compared to the end of the same month preceding Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 48.3 quadrillion rials (about $1.15 trillion) at the end of the 12th month.

"Meanwhile, in the same period preceding Iranian year, this figure stood at 34.7 quadrillion rials (about $828 billion)," the statistics said.

Furthermore, the share of money in liquidity was 9.86 quadrillion rials (about $235 billion) at the end of the 12th month. This is an increase of 42.8 percent, compared to the same period preceding Iranian year. Thus, the share of money in liquidity amounted to 6.9 quadrillion rials (about $164 billion) in the same period preceding Iranian year.

According to the statistics, the share of near-money in liquidity was 38.4 quadrillion rials (about $915 billion) within the mentioned period. This is an increase of 38.1 percent, compared to the same period preceding Iranian year.

So, the share of near-money in liquidity amounted to 27.8 quadrillion rials (about $663 billion) in the same period preceding Iranian year.
