BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. As many as 38.8 million transactions for a total of 128.2 billion manat ($75.49 billion) were carried out in Azerbaijan through the 'AZIPS' (Interbank Settlement System on Large and Urgent payments) and 'XOHKS' (Calculation Clearing System on Small Payments) National Payment System in the first half of 2022, Trend reports referring to the "Payment system review" of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA)
A total of 598,700 transactions through AZIPS worth 109.4 billion manat ($112.1 billion) were implemented in the reporting period (growth of 31.5 percent year-on-year).
The number of transactions on XOHKS amounted to 38.17 million in the amount of 18.842 billion manat, or $11.09 billion (an increase of 23 percent over the year).
The number of transactions on AZIPS increased by 27 percent, while on XOHKS – by 8.9 percent year-on-year, the review noted.
