Central Bank of Iran talks loans provided in various economic sectors

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 1. The Iranian banks issued loans worth 10 quadrillion rials (about $238 billion) in various economic sectors in the country, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), Director General of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Ali Salehabadi said, Trend reports citing the CBI’s website.

The director general noted that of this, 66 percent was issued to manufacturing enterprises, 12.8 percent - to newly established manufacturing enterprises, while the rest to other areas.

“The CBI considers providing loans in the direction of increasing production and expanding the production areas as the main priority in the country,” he said.

Salehabadi also added that during 4 months, Iranian banks issued loans worth 200 trillion rials (about $4.76 billion) in the housing sector.
