Total assets of Azerbaijani Kapital Bank increase over year

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 20. The total assets of Azerbaijan’s Kapital Bank increased by 30.52 percent in the second quarter of 2022 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports citing bank's balance sheet.

According to the bank, its total assets increased by 1.8 billion manat ($1.05 billion) over the year - up to 7.7 billion manat ($4.5 billion).

The largest share in the structure of total assets (41.88 percent) accounted for credit portfolio, which grew by 30.83 percent over the year to 3.2 billion manat ($1.8 billion).

Deduction of targeted reserves from bank's portfolio to ensure possible losses amounted to 378.9 million manat ($223.4 million).

According to the results of 3Q2022, about 25.1 percent of bank’s total assets were investments in securities - 1.93 billion manat ($1.13 billion).

Another 25.5 percent of bank's assets were cash and cash equivalents - 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion).

Bank’s other assets amounted to 295.7 million manat ($173.9 million).
