BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 2. The government of Azerbaijan has provided for receipts in the form of dividends from the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) in the amount of 200 million manat ($117.6 million) in the state budget for 2023, Trend reports via the conclusion of the Accounts Chamber on the draft of the state budget for 2023.
According to the accounts chamber, dividend payments to the state budget from state-owned companies and state-owned banks in the amount of 321.2 million manat or $188.9 million (growth by three times compared to the same period for 2022).
Dividends to the state budget of Azerbaijan in 2023 will also be paid by: the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) OJSC in the amount of 100 million manat ($58.5 million), Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) CJSC - 15 million manat ($8.8 million), AzerGold CJSC - 5 million manat ($2.9 million), AzerTurk Bank OJSC - 1 million manat ($588,235) and Aqrarkredit non-bank credit organization (NBCO) - 210,000 manat ($123,529).
From January through August 2022, state-owned companies and banks paid dividends in the amount of 124.7 million manat ($73.3 million) to the state budget of Azerbaijan, of which 120.5 million manat ($70.8 million) fell on IBA, 4 million manat ($2.3 million) - ASCO, 200,000 manat ($117,647) - Aqrarkredit.
