BAKU,Azerbaijan, December 5. The amount of loans issued by Iran’s Tose`e Ta`avon Bank increased by 57 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, head of the bank Mohammad Sheykh Hosseini said, Trend reports citing Ibena News Agency.
The official noted that in total, Tose`e Ta`avon Bank provided loans worth more than 227 trillion rials (about $5.4 billion) in the country for 8 months, while the figure stood at over 144 trillion rials (about $3.43 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
Sheykh Hosseini added that the bank issued loans worth 40 trillion rials (about $952 million) in the agricultural sector for the reporting period, which is 110 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.
“In addition, the bank issued loans worth over 87 trillion rials (about $2.07 billion) in the industrial sector in 8 months, which is an increase of 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.
Within 8 months, Tose`e Ta`avon Bank provided loans worth 14 trillion rials (about $333 million) in the housing sector, which is an increase of 2 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, according to Sheykh Hosseini.
The official pointed out that the bank also issued loans worth 69 trillion rials (about $1.64 billion) in the services sector within the mentioned period. This is an increase of about 4 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
“Moreover, this bank issued loans worth more than 15 trillion rials (about $357 million) in the country’s trade sector for eight months,” he said.
