BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 20. The total liabilities of Azerbaijan’s Xalq Bank increased as of December 31, 2022, Trend reports via the bank's balance sheet.

According to the report, this figure amounted to 2.2 billion manat ($1.3 billion), up by 319.6 million manat or $188 million (16.91 percent) over the year.

A significant share (83.95 percent) in the structure of liabilities fell on deposits, which grew by 20.22 percent over the year - up to 1.85 billion manat ($1.09 billion).

Xalq Bank’s liabilities to the credit organizations and other financial institutions equaled 228.1 million ($134.18 million). Its liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan decreased by 33.3 percent and amounted to 600,760 manat ($353,390).

The share capital of Xalq Bank stood at 452.14 million manat ($265.9 million) as of December 31 last year, (increase of 4.88 percent on annual basis).

Meanwhile, the total reserves of the bank amounted to 23.07 million manat ($13.57 million), up by 18.78 percent on annual basis.

The bank’s total capital in the fourth quarter of 2022 equaled 475.2 million manat ($279.5 million).

Previously, as of September 30, 2022, the total liabilities of Xalq Bank amounted to 2.13 billion manat ($1.25 billion), up by 356.5 million manat or $209.4 million (83.78 percent) over the year.

A significant share (88.38 percent) in the structure of liabilities fell on deposits, which increased by 24.71 percent over the year - up to 1.77 billion manat ($1.04 billion).

As of September 30, The bank’s liabilities to credit organizations and other financial institutions amounted to 300.7 million ($176.8 million). Its liabilities to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan decreased by 25 percent and amounted to 901,140 manat ($530,082).

The share capital of Xalq Bank amounted to 364.7 million manat ($214.5 million) as of September 30, 2022, unchanged over the year.

Capital reserves of the bank amounted to 21.3 million manat ($12.5 million), up by 18.78 percent on annual basis, while the retained earnings – 80.14 million manat ($47.1 million).

The bank’s total capital in the third quarter of 2022 equaled 466.2 million manat ($262.4 million).
