BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 25. The largest amount of loans issued in Azerbaijan as of January 1, 2023, fell on households (55.9 percent of total lending), Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
In the mentioned period, loans granted to households grew by 2.6 billion manat ($1.5 billion), or 30.97 percent year on year, from 8.6 billion manat ($5.06 billion) to 11.2 billion manat ($6.5 billion).
In addition, lending to trade and services increased by 310.4 million manat ($182.5 million) or 10.37 percent in a year, from 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion) to 3.3 billion manat ($1.9 billion). The specific weight of the field of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 16.4 percent.
