Ranking of Azerbaijani banks by authorized capital for 2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 1. International Bank of Azerbaijan ranks first among the Azerbaijani banks in terms of authorized capital in the fourth quarter of 2022, Trend reports.

According to the bank's financial report, its authorized capital totaled 1.2 billion manat ($705.8 million).

Yelo Bank with an authorized capital worth 378 million manat ($222.3 million) took the second position.

Xalq Bank ranks third with an authorized capital of 364.7 million manat ($214.5 million).

The overall volume of the authorized capital of all Azerbaijani banks totaled 4.6 billion manat ($2.71 billion).

The total authorized capital of the first three banks equaled 1.96 billion manat ($1.1 billion), or 54.81 percent of the overall authorized capital of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (3.59 billion manat or $2.1 billion), or 42.27 percent of the overall authorized capital of all banks of Azerbaijan (4.6 billion manat or $2.7 billion).

According to the CBA, the net profit of the banking sector increased by 305.5 million manat ($179.7 million), or 50.16 percent from January through December 2022 compared to the same period in 2021 - from 609 million manat ($358.2 million) to 914.5 million manat ($537.9 million).
