BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 27. The number of ATMs in Azerbaijan totaled 3,077 as of February 1, 2023, Trend reports via the Azerbaijani Central Bank's statistical report.
According to the report, this means a growth of 0.29 percent since the end of 2022.
Out of the overall number of ATMs, Baku comprised 52.58 percent (1,618 ATMs), which was 1.7 percent more than results for the end of 2022. Meanwhile, other cities and districts of the country accounted for 1,459 ATMs (a decrease of 1.2 percent).
The number of point of sale (POS) terminals installed in Azerbaijan's trade and service facilities amounted to 79,880 (a year-over-year increase of 0.1 percent). A total of 53,799 terminals, out of the overall number, are installed in Baku, while 26,081 of them – in other cities and districts.
Furthermore, as many as 77,605 POS-terminals operate in retail facilities of Azerbaijan.
In late 2022, 3,068 ATMs functioned in Azerbaijan, out of which 1,591 were in Baku, whereas 1,477 machines were in other regions. In the meantime, the number of POS terminals stood at 77,551.
