ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 25. Turkmenistan is determined to intensify cooperation with international financial institutions, Trend reports.
This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the People's Council of the country held on September 24, 2023.
The head of state noted that in order to increase the competitiveness of the national economy and increase the volume of investments, it is necessary to effectively use the opportunities of foreign investment.
Furthermore, he added that for this, it is necessary to establish coordinated work with foreign states and international financial institutions.
In particular, the President proposed holding joint investment and business forums with such organizations as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank (WB), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB).
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan attaches priority to the intensification of cooperation with international financial institutions, demonstrating its readiness for an open dialogue and partnership with world financial leaders. This step is aimed at attracting foreign investment, technology, and expertise to accelerate the economic development of the country.
