BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 31. One of the main products that Azerbaijan's GoldenPay has recently released is its own co-branded Hesab Card, GoldenPay Board Chairwoman Naina Shukurova told Trend.

According to her, GoldenPay presently issues the Hesab Card in collaboration with one of its partner banks, but it is anticipated that after the new legislation takes effect, the card can be issued independently.

The draft law on payment systems and services was passed in August 2023 and is scheduled to go into effect on November 9, 2023.

"In addition, in October, we introduced a new product, our marketplace Hesab Shop, which is integrated within the portal Hesab.az. Users will be able to acquire a variety of items, electronics, and appliances with its assistance. This marketplace is a fantastic venue for small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly those without the ability to launch their own online store and attract new clients. We created a totally digital platform for them to display their items and sell them online, and we have over 700,000 registered users on the platform," Naina Shukurova said.

She stated that this is a fantastic opportunity for SMEs because there is no need to invest in setting up a store and acquiring clients. The platform already includes all necessary features. The marketplace is now in testing, and it is planned to go public in the near future.

Golden Pay is the first fintech company in Azerbaijan, officially registered in 2007.
