BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 28. The total amount of funds on settlement, current accounts and deposits of enterprises, organizations and the population in Turkmen banks as of January 1 of this year amounted to 59.03 billion Turkmen manat ($16.87 billion), Trend reports.
According to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, these figures are 3.2 percent more than on the same date last year (57.2 billion Turkmen manat, or $16.34 billion).
Of the total amount, the funds of state-owned enterprises and organizations accounted for 42.25 billion Turkmen manat ($12.07 billion), which is 4.2 percent more than on January 1 last year (40.52 billion Turkmen manat, or $7.09 billion).
At the same time, the share of funds from enterprises, non-governmental organizations and the population accounted for 16.78 billion Turkmen manat ($4.8 billion), which is 0.6 percent more than on the same date in 2022 (16.67 billion Turkmen manat or $4.76 billion).
Furthermore, the funds of individuals and entrepreneurs without the formation of a legal entity in the banks of Turkmenistan amounted to 5.43 billion Turkmen manat ($1.55 billion), which is 4.4 percent less than on September 1 last year (5.68 billion Turkmen manat or $1.62 billion).
