BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 6. Our further goals on the Unified Platform and National Standard on Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) are to develop the platform, ensure active participation of stakeholders, and provide them with the necessary conditions for interaction, Head of the Secretariat of the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission of Azerbaijan Vusal Shikhaliyev said, Trend reports.

He made the remark at the conference titled ''For sustainable development in Azerbaijan: presentation of the Single Platform and National Standard on ESG.''

“I would like to draw special attention to the necessity of creating a unified ESG platform and its important role in ensuring sustainable growth. Considering that the platform's establishment happened in the shortest possible time, it is safe to say that the parties involved were able to establish effective cooperation to achieve such impressive results. Our future goals are to develop the platform by ensuring the active participation of stakeholders and providing them with the necessary conditions for interaction. We strive for the platform to gain recognition both locally and globally. We hope that this initiative will be an inspiring example of effective dialog between government and business and will resonate not only in our region but also in a wider context,” Shikhaliyev said.

To note, Baku is hosting a conference titled “For sustainable development of Azerbaijan: presentation of the Unified Platform and National Standard on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG)”.
