Azerbaijan, Baku / corr TrenCapital S.Babaeva / From January to July 2007 the number of employees in the communications sphere in Azerbaijan increased by 5.7 % to 21,589 people, the State Statistics Community reports.
The average monthly salary of employees grew by 39.4% to AZN 293.8. The salary at private communications companies rose by 5.1 times compared to the state sector.
The number of transport employees grew by 1,232 people to 67,007 people. Some 84.5% of all employees are with state enterprises and 15.5% with the private sector.
