Azerbaijan’s Azercell Mobile Operator Offers Free GPRS Traffic to Postpaid Subscribers
Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / Azercell Telecom JV - Azerbaijani mobile network operator will offer free GPRS traffic to its post-paid subscribers.
From September 25, 2007 to January 5, 2008 in the beginning of each bill cycle Azercell Postpaid subscribers (except Optimist tariff package subscribers) will get 5MB free GPRS traffic, according to the company.
Free GPRS traffic can be used during the bill cycle. Unused free GPRS traffic cannot be carried into the next billing period.
Azercell JSC was established on 19 January 1996 by Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri A.S. and the Azerbaijan Ministry of Telecommunications.
The company launched its activities on 15 December 1996 offering mobile network on a post-payment basis.
Today, the number of subscribers to Azercell Telecom exceeds 2.5mln, with over 94, 000 of them being postpaid subscribers.
