Motorola Aims to Release Updated Sidekick Slide Next Week

( Mobile ) - You may have heard about the problems surrounding the new T-Mobile Sidekick Slide and how it seems to randomly shut off and hard reset on its own. As any people have suspected, the problem with the Sidekick Slide has to do with the battery contacts and Motorola has apparently rectified this issue, hoping to get the Slide back in stores next week.

You'll have to take this "hope" with a fairly sizable chunk of salt, considering that any sort of recall or problem with a mobile phone can end up being a heck of a lot more complicated than originally thought. If you have a faulty Sidekick Slide, you can probably wait until next week to see if you can get your hands on a replacement, but it might be a good idea to head to your local T-Mobile dealer to see if they have any further information.

Seems so silly, doesn't it, that such a wonderful device has such a stupid problem. So much for Motorola's freshman foray into the Sidekick game.
