Azerbaijan, Baku, 4 March / Trend corr S. Babayeva/ Azerbaijan plans to discuss its electronic money transfer system MTF/ STEFI with Tajikistan during a Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications (RCC) meeting in May, the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry reported on 4 March.
The 39th RCC Council of Heads of the Communications Administrations meeting will be in Dushanbe from 20 to 23 May. An expanded Azerbaijani delegation is expected to be in attendance.
"We [the Ministers of Communications] plan to hold negotiations with the postal administration of Tajikistan and, if possible, with other RCC countries," a source at the Ministry said.
According to the Ministry, Azerbaijan has already solved its technical problems for operating the system.
The Azerbaijan Postal Administration is operating the electronic money transfer system MTF/STEFI (International Financial System of the Universal Postal Union) with Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
