Azerbaijan, Baku, 31 March / corr Trend S.Babayeva / Ali Abbasov, the Azerbaijani minister of Communications and Information Technology, is leaving for Islamabad to participate in the 13th General Assembly of Organization for Islamic Conference (OIC) Committee on scientific and technological cooperation (COMSTECH).
During the gathering, due on 1-3 April, Abbasov will deliver a speech and hold bilateral meetings with the counterparts from the countries.
The Ministry said that the development of new technology in the East countries and the establishment of trans-national information corridor East-West with the Azerbaijan's initiative, will be the part of discussions.
The ministers of sciences and technology of OIC member-countries will be attending the gathering.
The committee on scientific and technological cooperation was established in January 1981 and is headed by Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.
