Azerbaijan, Baku, 20 November / Trend / Conference Initiatives of E-Government 2008 commenced in Astana on 19 November. Azerbaijan is represented by Isbandiyar Aliyev, the head of the Strategic Planning & Scientific Potential Department at the Ministry of Communications & IT, the office reported.
The goal of the conference is to stimulate application of the e-government program, to use ICT to improve the transparency of public administration, to discuss urgent issues regarding e-government's decisions, and to exchange experience in this field.
