Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 2 / Trend , S.Babayeva /
Private Internet providers of Azerbaijan have developed and presented proposals to the Communication and IT Ministry on cutting tariffs on wide-band Internet in the country, the Azerbaijan Internet Association (AIA) said on Feb. 2.
"Providers agreed the developed proposals at the latest meeting," AIA said.
The Ministry's proposals include ten points on technical capabilities to decrease price on ADSL two times.
The wide-band Internet tariffs in Azerbaijan are average for the region, but they can be lower given the business activity and economic development of the country, Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said.
In February the prices on Internet services will be reduced.
The sate providers companies of Bakinternet and Aztelekom.Net have already cut prices on ADSL-services two times. The decision was enacted since Feb.1.
