Turkmenistan holds talks with Roskosmos to explore space

The Turkmen government is holding talks on cooperation with the Russian Roskosmos space agency, an official Turkmen source said.

The Turkmen government and Roskosmos intend to cooperate using the Russian space navigation system, perform distance land probes via Russian space technologies and ensure ecological security.

Joint space exploration will be a cooperation priority.

Turkmenistan will launch its own communication satellite in the future as a part of the cooperation.

The Turkmen government and Roskosmos also discussed joint experiments.

Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhammedov said during the talks that his country seeks constructive business cooperation that will meet the country's plans on peacefully using space.
