The Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patent has registered the project of national standards of Azerbaijan. The project was designed on the basis of the second and third part of international standard on information safety ISO/IEC 15408-2008.
"The standard was registered under the number of AZS 356.2-2009 and AZS 356.3-2009 respectively on May 18", the IT Ministry said.
The new standards will come into force on June 1.
The national standard AZS 356.1-2009, which was designed on the basis of the first part of international standard ISO/IEC 15408-2008, are in use since April 20, 2009.
The Technical Committee of Standardization of information and communication technology was created through a joint decree of the IT Ministry and the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents in summer 2008. Deputy Communications and IT Minister Elmir Valizade is the chairman of the committee.
Committee's main purpose is to introduce national standards, relevant international and regional development, required regulatory documents, increasing efficiency, participation in international and interstate work on standardization in ICT sector.
