Azerbaijan, Baku, Aug.5 / Trend G.Veliyev /
The SilverKey Technologies integrated a module detecting and preventing fraud attacks in Golden Pay system, Director of the SilverKey Technologies Azerbaijan Farid Ismayilzade told Trend on Aug.5.
According to Ismayilzade, the program is an addition to the Colden Pay system, which enables to remove the fraud threat on the Internet by 90 percent.
At present, fraud on the network is not so developed in Azerbaijan as in neighboring Russia or in Europe. However, the removal of unwanted incidents is the first priority of financial institutions, particularly, commercial banks, which are responsible to their depositors.
For example, signs with visually similar characters of various Internet resources (clones of known sites), offering to pay for services and goods may appear on the network. The owners of plastic cards, carrying out transactions through these resources, become victims of Internet fraud, and, consequently, the entire responsibility for this incident rests directly on the banks.
Unfortunately, banks are not so actively interested in the integration of systems to prevent fraud attacks. They often resort to systems used by the processing centers, which in turn use the ready protection systems of the international payment systems Visa and Master Card. It is dealt with the protocol on processing the Internet transactions 3DSecure. The international payment systems Visa and MasterCard use the standard safety 3DSecure to develop a secure payment services on Internet. This service called "Verified by Visa" in Visa, "MasterCard SecureCode" in the MasterCard. 3DSecure technology is the most advanced security standard for payments and reduces the risk of fraud to zero. This is achieved mainly due to the fact that if you pay through 3DSecure technology, authentication of the cardholder is implemented on a special server of the bank, which issued the card.
The instrument of protection against fraud is an integral part of ColdenPay, which enables to struggle against such attacks.
