The Azerbaijan Railways Closed Joint Stock Company (CJSC) HAS introduced an online ticket sale system at the box office in the Agstafa station, the company reported.
Currently, work is underway on connecting to a computer network to sell ticket at the Boyuk-Kesik, Zayam, Dellar and Shamkir stations.
Today, the automated sales system is connected to sale offices in the Mardakan, Lokbatan and Bilajari towns, as well as the Sumgait, Khachmaz, Khudat, Davachi and Ganja cities.
Terminals are installed at the sale offices. Via the terminal, a cashier in online mode selects travel options for passengers and legalizes order form of rail travel documents.
In the future, the company plans to connect the local system to the Russian system, which will allow passengers to buy tickets for the Russian domestic rail travels.
