Telecommunication sites of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan will be electronized, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology told Trend .
Under the plan of activities of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (NAR), switchgears will be changed and capacity of the central station will be increased in Nakhchivan, Ordubad and Sadarak cities of NAR.
At present, work on the digitalization of ATS (automatic telephone system) are maintained in Babak, Sharur, Shahbuz and Kengerli regions.
Design involves dismantling obsolete equipment of the ATS in the populated areas and installing Karel DS-200 equipment, as well as switching a subscriber capacity of existing EATS with with further connection to the control center.
Reconstruction of the ATS will considerably improve the quality of service for subscribers and provide safe operation of communications networks.
