Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry will attend the 25th meeting of the committee of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC), the RCC reported.
The meeting will be held in Chisinau, March 30-31.
Azerbaijan will be represented by the Ministry's Finance, Registration and Economic Analysis Department Head Rashad Nabiyev.
The meeting will consider issues of market liberalization of communication services, ways to reduce information risks, implementation of international financial reporting standards, tariff policy for new types of communication services, results of monitoring and evaluation of e-government, application of IT in the postal service and other issues.
The Azerbaijani representative will report on the tariff policy for new types of ICT services such as digital broadcasting, broadband access, IP-TV, etc.
The RCC Commission on Economy has operated as a RCC working body for sixteen years.
The main task of the commission is to develop coherent and coordinated approaches of creating the most favorable conditions for solving problems of economics of communication and information of mutual interest to the RCC.
The commission includes representatives of the RCC's CAs, as well as representatives of telecom operators, which jointly consider the practical issues of its activities.
