Azerbaijani State Administration of Radio Frequencies negotiates on resource coordination of satellite systems Azerspace and Ukrsat

The Communications and IT Ministry's State Administration of Radio Frequencies will hold talks on coordination of frequency assignments of the Azerbaijani national satellite Azerspace and Ukrainian Ukrsat, the administration said.

The parties will negotiate to determine acceptable levels of interference made by satellite networks and achieve coordination of satellite networks of Azerbaijan and Ukraine during the meeting, to be held in Kiev on February 22-24.

The ITU (International telecommunication Union) marked the position of 43.2, 58.5 and 96 degrees east longitude to place the Azerspace national satellite.

ITU submitted Azerbaijan a list of countries which satellites will also be located on the above-mentioned positions.

At present, the coordination of frequency assignments of satellite systems are being discussed with the Kazakh Agency for Informatization and Communications.

Moreover, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies will also participate in the joint committee meeting of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) on the regulation of radio spectrum and the RCC Commission for Satellite Communication, TV and Sound Broadcasting, to be held in Kiev on February 25-26.

The Commissions will consider preparation for the World Radiocommunication Conference- 2012, the introduction of digital television in the countries of the RCC, as well as developing a common frequency allocation table of the CIS countries, the use of recommendations for the Coordination of frequency assignments of terrestrial stations and fixed services, introducing prospective technologies of wireless broadband access.
