Azerbaijani Internet provider builds network structure based on Cisco Systems

The Uninet Azerbaijani Internet provider is improving its network structure using Cisco Systems telecommunications equipment, the company said.
The company installed the Cisco Router 7603 with the Sup720 control module, providing the productivity of the hardware packet, switching with a speed up to 720 Gbit/sec for upgrading.

The router provides productivity at several Gbit/sec per slot, are available in different form factors and support improved optical interface modules to provide highly productive services.

The company has also put into operation Cisco Catalyst 6503 and 3750 10-gigabyte switchboards. Cisco Catalyst 6500 includes the switchboards Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbit/sec ports from 48 to 576 or Ethernet 10/100 Mbps ports from 48 to 1152.

The new series of the Cisco Catalyst 3750 is designed for organizing local networks in offices.

In connection with updating the network switchboards, the company's billing system is fully transformed into a 10-gigabyte service level of user traffic.
