A working group on cooperation with Belarus in information and communication technologies will be set up under the Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry soon, the Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry scientific potential and strategic planning department head Isfandiyar Aliyev said.
He said that the plans of the working group will include aspects involving the formation of bilateral relations and cooperation in the field of "electronic government" to develop the information society, create joint ventures in ICT, train staff and establish technology parks.
The two countries cooperate in the field of ICT according to the documents signed in February, aimed at strengthening and further development of mutually beneficial relations in the field of high technologies.
A number of intergovernmental agreements providing for cooperation in science and information technology was signed during Belarusian President's visit to Azerbaijan.
