Azerbaijan, Baku, Oct. 23 / Trend H.Valiyev /

A working group on the study of use of the radio frequency networks of the simultaneous audio broadcast of the Regional Commonwealth of Communications (RCC) in the medium and long-wave (MW / LW) prepared the draft version of frequency bands MW / LW band, the chief engineer of the State Radio Frequencies Administration , Ilham Efendiyev, has told Trend.

Preliminary versions of frequency bands MW / LW band were prepared during the third working group meeting held in Moscow on Oct.19-22.

Efendiyev said the experts considered reducing power transmission devices, changing the configuration and coordination of the antenna as the most appropriate criteria for the coordination. All these aspects are under the calculations today, which will continue by April 2011.

The meeting specified criteria and approaches to eliminate collisions at the output of the synchronous mode of operation of radio resources, determined the feasibility of the technical proposals by preparing calculations and related tables to eliminate interference. The documents were presented to the Communications Administrations. The issue will again be reviewed in Minsk in December," Efendiyev said.

Earlier, RCC commission for satellite communications, television and radio broadcasting has recommended that RCC member countries develop criteria to redistribute long and medium wave radio frequencies across the broadcast network.

The working group is charged with large-scale work to define the technical and financial criteria for such coordination.

The matter is the 549 kHz, 873 kHz and 171 kHz frequencies that should be coordinated so that the transmitters used by one country do not to create interference with other broadcasts.

The level of transmitter power for the frequency range of 549 MHz has not been used yet, but it was checked with the Azerbaijani Radio Frequencies Administration. It was 60 kilowatts and Azerbaijan may reduce the power by 50 kilowatts, Efendiyev said.
