Localized versions of Nokia's Ovi services will launch in Azerbaijan in 2011, the company's official distributor in Azerbaijan, Mobitel, told Trend.

Azerbaijani users will be offered two localized product - the Ovi Store and Ovi Maps.

Ovi Store applications, games, and audio and video files are specifically designed for Nokia phones. The service also operates with PCs browsers on a full-function basis.

After launching the service in Azerbaijan, a localized version will be automatically offered to online shop users when connecting to the Ovi Store.

Given that Nokia's position on the Azerbaijani market is strong, experts believe that the service will be in demand. Its launch will open new perspectives for Azerbaijani developers and content providers.

Ovi Maps' cartographic service will also be presented on the Azerbaijani market, and will be offered to Nokia smart phone owners free of charge. While Azerbaijan's navigation map is only partly developed, it does show the main highways and major populated areas. Works on the map's development will be completed in the near future.
