Microsoft Azerbaijan has announced an innovative teacher contest with the support of the Azerbaijani Education Ministry.
The contest is held with the support of Ultra and HP, as well as the Madad organization and the AzEduNet Azerbaijani Educational Network.
The contest will select teachers using innovative secondary school teaching methods. The contest is held in the "Innovation in Content" and "Innovation in Partnership" categories.
The "Innovation in Content" category targets the country's best educational projects presented with the use of innovation and IT.
The "Innovation in Partnership" category targets the country's best educational projects involving different groups in the learning process.
The contest will be held in two phases.
During the first phase, each applicant must submit a project description to the to jury.
During the second phase, finalists will present their projects.
The contest winners will be selected by a jury of teachers and parents.
Projects will be accepted until Jan. 15, 2011. More detailed information is available on the website: www.itn-az.spaces.live.com
The contest winners will attend the European Innovative Teachers Forum, which will be held on March 22-24, 2011 in Moscow.
