Term of free licenses of Microsoft software solutions for non-commercial and nongovernmental organizations, as well as small independent media outlets in Azerbaijan will be valid by Jan.1 2012, Microsoft said.
The new licensing system will allow these groups of users to continue to legally use earlier installed Microsoft programs, the license term of which have already expired.
One needs to pass the relevant registration procedure at the Microsoft website to receive free licenses.
The new free licensing program besides Azerbaijan is also applied to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, China, Malaysia and Vietnam, the list will include more countries.
Microsoft Azerbaijan head Teymur Akhundov said earlier that after registering on the corporate website the organization will have a right download distribution disk, as well as a certain number of licenses that can be used for its professional activity.
The main goal of the free licensing program is avoidance of preventing the aforementioned structures' activity under the pretext of illegal use of the Microsoft solutions.
