Azerbaijani provider places mirror content resources in PHP language in datacenter
Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec.29 / Trend H. Veliyev /
Azerbaijani initial provider of Delta Telecom has placed the mirror content resources (copies of websites) created in the PHP language in its datacenter, Delta Telecom Technical Director Rahid Alekberli told Trend.
According to Alekberli, it allows these resources to be closer not only to users in Azerbaijani but also in other countries in the region, who are interested greater access to these content resources directly through the Delta Telecom's datacenter.
Presently, the Delta Telecom's datacenter holds about 40 percent of Internet resource segment AzNET. Datacenter is a specialized technical area intended for storage of Internet resources. Engineering systems of the Centre provides round-the-clock work of the resources placed in it, ensuring that they continuously fulfill their functions.
The main goal of the datacenter is to transfer national content from abroad to Azerbaijan, which includes websites in Azerbaijani language and entertainment portals containing songs, videos and photo content.
Work on transferring national Internet resources to the datacenter is underway and there are plans to increase the capacity of the center in the near future. Due to the placement of Internet resources in the datacenter, the volume of international traffic coming to Azerbaijan will be significantly reduced, while the volume of outgoing traffic can increase.
Placing national content resources in the territory of Azerbaijan will reduce the cost of the initial provider to 90 percent since in this case, there is no need to pay for the flow going to transit countries.
The datacenter gives preference to national Internet-based resources registered in the international and Azerbaijani domain zones. One of the important functions of the datacenter is to reduce cost, and in some cases, cancel fee for domain registration, which also plays an important role in the development of the Azerbaijani content resources.
