The AzeriCard Processing Center will introduce a new version of mobile banking in March, head of business development Mammadov Jahangir told Trend.
He said that the main feature of the new version of mobile banking is that it will be available in the network of all three mobile operators.
"Today, mobile operators are technically ready to implement this system. The new version will be more powerful; it will have additional functions. We intend to maximally improve the service and make it more convenient for customers, " Mammadov said.
Users will be able to connect to the service by downloading an add-on application. The new version will provide services in all of the country's mobile networks.
Mobile banking services allow users to check their account online around the clock, draw reports on account transactions, pay bills for electricity, mobile and fixed communications, and Internet services, and to transfer money from card to card, to pay for the purchase of an electronic ticket and to receive SMS notifications on each transaction (withdrawal or receipt of funds on the account).
Today, mobile banking services are rendered by the International Bank of Azerbaijan, Bank Respublika, AGBank, AtaBank, Bank of Azerbaijan, Bank Standard, Nikoil Bank, ParaBank, RabitaBank and Xalq Bank.
Today, users should buy or replace their SIM-card with a MobilBank SIM card at Azercell Telecom to use the services. Afterward, they should contact the bank which issued the card, and fill out a form. The bank then provides instructions on useng MobilBank.
All of the transmitted information is encrypted in the MobilBank system. The owner of the number creates an individual PIN code. The password is known only to the user.
